        Seal Type:  These bank notes all have the same red seal as you see above.

        Varieties:   All 1875 $1 bills were signed by Allison and New. There are six different varieties based on the series letter though. Most notes don’t have a series letter. However, some can be Series A, Series B, Series C, Series D, or Series E.

        Value:  If you are dealing with an 1875 $1 legal tender note, then you definitely want to find one with the series letter A, B, C, D, or E. Here is the order of value, starting with the most valuable: D, E, B, A, C. They are all fairly scarce though. Notes without a series letter are still in demand, but just not as rare.
